Our Quartets
 |
CHEERS has been singing in the community
and on the international contest stage since 1999. Over the
years, there have been some changes in personnel –
our current line-up features Wanda Olsen as
Baritone, Barb Edwards as Bass, Patricia Cassidy as
Tenor and Sylvie Bloom as lead. Together we enjoy
a wonderful friendship and we love to share the
pleasures of a “ringing chord”. |
 |
Kith 'N Kin is made up of 3 sisters,
Elizabeth, Sandra and Penny - which is the kin part.
The kith is Deborah. All four women love to sing and
are always ready to "bust a chord!" The quartet has
competed at area competitions and has also sung at
Nickel City Sound's Christmas and Spring shows. It
has also enjoyed singing at community events,
Birthdaygrams and Singing Valentines. |
 |
Olive-Us has been quartetting since 2005,
enjoying various opportunities to "sing-out" in the
community, at chorus shows and compete at Area
Contests. "Queen" Colleen Fraser leads the quartet
of Martha Walli (baritone), Janet Dakins (tenor) and
Barb Booth (bass). While they do all love the taste
of olives, they have the most fun when "Olive-Us"
are singing together. |
 |
FOUR MORE began singing together as a quartet for Nickel City Sound's Christmas show in 2008. Since then they have enjoyed singing together in the community and participating in various chorus functions. They especially love performing singing Valentines! Pictured are Heather Brown (tenor), Marisa Costanzo (lead) Irene Shura-Butler (bass) and Ellen Chapados (baritone). |
 |
The Random Antics quartet knows that competitive barbershopping is hard work but, sometimes, girls just gotta have fun! Only together since December 2010, tenor Wendy Wright, baritone Marcia Ranger, lead Rhoda Fortier and bass Debbie Sullivan have been expanding their repertoire, and their costumes too (pyjamas? nun’s wimples? shirts on backwards?) Watch for a random antic whenever they’re performing. | | |
